Makeup Tips for Gurgaon Farmhouse and Hotel Weddings

Gurugram weddings come in two main styles: grand hotel ballrooms and open farmhouse lawns. Both are beautiful — and they need slightly different makeup planning. Here’s what we keep in mind when we get brides and their families ready for Gurgaon weddings.

Farmhouse weddings: daylight, open air and long evenings

Farmhouse functions often start in daylight and run late into the night, outdoors.

• Base: an airbrush or long-wear HD base stays even in natural light and holds up in open air.
• Finish: satin rather than very matte — daylight makes heavy matte look flat.
• Colour: a little more blush than you think; outdoor light washes colour out.
• Weather: October evenings can be warm; December and January nights get cold and dry. Plan hydration for winter and oil control for warmer dates.
• Hair: a secure style — open lawns can be breezy, and your dupatta needs to stay put.

Hotel weddings: warm light and flash photography

Ballrooms and banquet halls usually have warm, controlled lighting and lots of flash photography.

• Base: HD makeup layered thinly looks seamless in close-ups.
• Avoid flashback: we choose setting products that don’t leave a white cast under flash.
• Eyes: you can go a little deeper — warm light softens definition.
• Getting ready: hotel rooms often have dim lighting; we set up near the window or the brightest corner.

Timing and traffic

Most of our Gurgaon brides get ready either at home or at the venue. Because GlamParul is based in Faridabad, we plan Gurugram travel carefully:

1. Share the location pin and the room or suite number.
2. Share your muhurat, entry time and the photographer’s reporting time.
3. We confirm our reporting time a day before and leave with a traffic buffer.

At farmhouse weddings, everyone is often getting ready in the same place. As a team of 10, we can schedule multiple artists and hairstylists so the bride, mother and sisters are all ready on time. Party makeup is ₹7,999 per person, all-inclusive.
