The golden rule: nothing new in the last two weeks
The biggest pre-bridal mistake is trying a new facial, peel or product just before the wedding. Skin can react, and there is no time to recover. Do treatments early, keep the last two weeks simple, and drink enough water. Our guide to preparing skin for bridal makeup explains more.
A month-by-month outline
- 3 months: consistent cleanse–moisturise–sunscreen routine; fix sleep.
- 2 months: any planned dermatologist treatments.
- 1 month: last facial or clean-up; trial your hairstyle idea.
- 2 weeks: eyebrows, no new products.
- 3–4 days: waxing and threading.
- Night before: hair wash, light moisturiser, early sleep.
