How to Choose a Bridal Makeup Artist in Faridabad — A Checklist
A practical checklist for choosing your bridal makeup artist in Faridabad or Delhi NCR — portfolio, pricing, hygiene, team, travel and booking questions to ask.

Choosing your bridal makeup artist is one of the most personal wedding decisions you’ll make. You’ll see your face in your wedding photos for the rest of your life. Here’s a checklist I’d give my own sister — including the questions you should ask any artist, including me.
1. Look at real, unfiltered work
A beautiful Instagram grid isn’t enough. Look for:
- Videos and reels filmed in natural light, not just edited photos
- Before-and-after shots of the same person in the same light
- Different skin tones and types — does the artist adapt the base, or does every bride look the same?
- Full-length shots, so you can see hair, draping and jewellery setting too
Ask the artist whether the photos are their own work. It’s a fair question.
2. Check training and credentials
Training matters. Ask where the artist trained and whether they hold a certification. A structured course covers skin preparation, colour theory, products and hygiene — not just “looks”. (I completed a Basic to Advance Professional Makeup Course — you can read more about my training.)
3. Understand exactly what the price includes
This is where many brides get surprised. Before you compare prices, ask:
- Is hairstyling included?
- Is draping (dupatta/saree) included?
- Are lashes included?
- Is jewellery and maang-tikka setting included?
- Are there travel charges for your venue?
- Is the price the same for HD and airbrush?
A “low” base price can become expensive once everything is added. At GlamParul we keep it simple — our bridal package is all-inclusive, with travel within Faridabad, Delhi and Gurugram.
4. Ask about hygiene
You should feel comfortable asking:
- Are brushes and tools cleaned between clients?
- Is the setup fresh for each client?
- How do you handle sensitive skin or allergies?
A professional artist will be happy to answer.
5. Is it one person or a team?
On a wedding morning the bride needs focused attention, but so do mothers, sisters and bridesmaids. Ask:
- Will the lead artist do my makeup personally?
- Who does hairstyling?
- Can you get my family ready on the same schedule?
GlamParul is a team of 10, which lets the lead artist focus on the bride while the family is done alongside.
6. Check availability early
Good artists book out early in wedding season. Ask how far in advance you should book and what is needed to confirm the date. We ask brides to book at least 20 days ahead, and most of our season dates are already booked.
7. Talk to them
Message or call before you book. Notice:
- Do they listen to what you want, or push their signature look?
- Do they ask about your skin, outfit, jewellery and venue?
- Do they reply clearly and on time?
How an artist communicates before the wedding is a good sign of how they’ll handle the wedding morning.
8. Ask for references
Real brides are the best proof. Ask for genuine client references or reviews you can verify — Google reviews, Instagram tags or a quick chat with a past bride. Be cautious of reviews that look copy-pasted.
